Our scores for student engagement are higher than most of America's elite liberal arts colleges.

Unlike US News and World Report's college rankings, which are based on many factors unrelated to student learning (i.e., faculty compensation, alumni giving, incoming SAT scores, peer reputation), the NSSE survey was developed to help institutions actually measure educational experiences and opportunities that are known to benefit student learning directly, such as study abroad oportunities, community service, professional internships, or research projects conducted with faculty members. In addition, it measures qualitative data, such as "is the faculty available, helpful and, sympathetic," "are other students friendly and supportive," "if you could start over, would you attend the same college?"

On that last question, 60% our seniors said they would "definitely" choose Holy Cross College if they had to do it all over again ... that's 25% higher than the national average!

We encourage you to compare our results to any other college you may be considering.  Although our school is not listed this year, write down these numbers for your comparison and go to the USA Today NSSE results webpage:
