Online periodical indexes allow you to search for articles on a particular subject in scholarly and popular journals and newspapers. McKenna Library subscribes to a wide range of specialized and multi-disciplinary databases which allow students to complete all their research here at Holy Cross College.

Credo Reference
Credo is a gateway for searching the other library resources and is an easy-to-use tool for your class work and research projects. Search in hundreds of encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri, quotations, and subject-specific titles, as well as 200,000+ images and audio files, and nearly 100 videos.
Academic Search Complete
Academic Search Complete is a comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 8,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 7,300 peer-reviewed journals.
ARTstor
A digital library that includes approximately 500,000 images covering art, architecture and archeology.
Business Source Premier
The industry's most used business research database, providing full text for more than 2,300 journals, including full text for more than 1,100 peer-reviewed titles. This database provides full text back to 1886, and searchable cited references back to 1998.
Encyclopedia Britannica
Full-text with pictures of the complete encyclopedia, plus links to scholarly articles and web pages.
ERIC
ERIC, the Education Resource Information Center, contains more than 1.3 million records and links to more than 323,000 full-text documents from ERIC.
GreenFILE
GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more.
Health Source - Consumer Edition
A rich collection of consumer health information providing information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health.
LexisNexis Academic
LexisNexis Academic provides full-text access to general, regional and international news, legal information, biographical information, company news and financial information.
Military & Government Collection
Offers current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government through a collection of scholarly and general interest journals. The Military & Government Collection provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals and indexing and abstracts for nearly 400 titles.
Naxos Music Library
Naxos Music Library is the World's largest Classical music listening service with over 140,000 tracks of music available. It is continually growing and includes Classical music, historical recordings, Jazz, World, Folk and Chinese music. Also included is extensive background information, such as complete liner notes and biographical information on composers and artists.

Professional Development Collection
Designed for professional educators, this database provides a highly specialized collection of nearly 520 high quality education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles. This database also contains more than 200 educational reports.
Searchasaurus
A full text database for elementary school research and reading. The database includes a handy Teacher Resources area, as well as a dictionary, encyclopedia, and an image collection.
