Banking
Each student is advised to establish a checking account at a local financial institution, as there are no check cashing facilities at the college. Branch banks are located on the nearby campuses of St. Mary's College and the University of Notre Dame. Holy Cross College students are eligible for membership in the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union. For your convenience, an ATM is located in the Holy Cross Student Union.

Bookstore
The Holy Cross Hammes Bookstore's regular hours of business are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Classes begin on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.

Counseling and Disability Services
Students in need of counseling services and students in need of accommodations for disabilities should contact Br. Chris Dreyer, CSC at 574.239.8383, cdreyer@hcc-nd.edu, Office 174 Vincent Hall.

Dining Hall
The Siegfried Family Dining Hall will open Monday, January 11 for lunch. Please stop in, grab a bite to eat, and meet Chef Jacob. Mealtime hours are:
Monday - Friday Saturday - Sunday
Hot Breakfast 8 - 9 a.m. 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Continental Breakfast 9 - 9:30 a.m.
Lunch 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dinner 5 - 7 p.m. 5 - 6 p.m.

E-Mail
Important information is communicated via the college's computer network.  Students are required to use their Holy Cross College e-mail address for all college business.  All students are required to check their Holy Cross College e-mail daily and are responsible for all information distributed via the HCC e-mail system.

Forms
All new students have received several forms that MUST be completed and submitted to college officials. These forms were included in the orientation literature sent to the student's home address, and are available at www.hcc-nd.edu. If you have not turned in the required forms, please do so during registration. Failure to submit forms will result in a hold on your student account.

Health Insurance
State law requires that all students be covered by group or individual medical insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. Students not currently covered by a health plan should refer to the enclosed health insurance document, which includes the websites of various agencies offering student health insurance. Health Services
The college health clinic is located at the south end of Anselm Hall. Office hours are Mondays 5-7 p.m. On Tuesdays, 2-3 p.m., and Fridays, 9-10 a.m. the clinic is held in the Pfeil Center Training Room #116. If you have a more urgent health care need, please contact the Associates in Family Medicine at 574.237.7890.

Learning Resource Center
The Math Center and Writing Center are great resources for students. These resources are located in the faculty area of Vincent Hall.

Library
The McKenna Library is open for students during the regular school year Sunday 1-11 p.m., Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and Saturday 1-5 p.m. With your HCC ID card you may use the libraries of the University of Notre Dame, St. Mary's College and Bethel College.

Lost and Found
Lost and found inquiries are received at the Vincent reception desk. The college declines any responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, a student's personal property.

Mail Services
Holy Cross College provides mail service for all students living on campus. United States Postal Service packages can be sent to: Student Name, P.O. Box 782, Notre Dame, IN 46556-0782. Packages through other companies, such as Federal Express and UPS, may be sent to:
Student Name, 54515 State Road 933 North, Notre Dame, IN 46556.
Questions should be directed to members of the residence hall staff.

Student IT Accounts
Student logins are generally the first letter of their first name followed by the full last name. The password is the last five digits of the student account number, which can be found on student billing statements. For further assistance, contact Christine Hubbard, Office 246A of Vincent Hall.
