New Online Arts Magazine at Holy Cross College
It’s time for the annual Arts Day and coinciding release of The Cauldron at Holy Cross, but this year something’s different. The Cauldron will not be printed but made available in a new online format. Also, Arts Day will be held in conjunction with the opening day of the College’s annual play.
Each year Holy Cross College students submit art, poetry, essays and more to be printed in The Cauldron. This year’s Cauldron will include student work, but it will all be displayed in a special section of the College Web site. This project will debut Friday, April 20th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the College’s Driscoll Lounge, which will be set up as an Internet café. The 20th is also Arts Day on campus, and following tradition, there will be poetry and essay readings, live music, art displays and refreshments at the Internet café.
After the café, folks can stay on campus to see the College’s annual play. This year students will be performing Who am I This Time? by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. Friday, April 20th is opening night. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. The other performances will be held Saturday, April 21st at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 22nd at 2:00 p.m. Admission is $5. Both shows will be held in the Driscoll Auditorium.
Arts Day is sponsored by the humanities division at Holy Cross College.
