“How to Finance College”--A Free Seminar
A free seminar entitled ‘How to Finance College’ will be presented by Robert Benjamin, Director of Financial Aid at Holy Cross College on Monday, February 4th at 7 PM in the Driscoll Auditorium at the College. Parents and students are welcome.
“Many people are unaware of how much financial aid they are eligible for and consequently pay a lot more than they should,” Benjamin says. “My passion in life is helping people afford a college education. Not understanding how to apply for financial aid programs could cost a student thousands of dollars,” he continued.
In fact, Holy Cross College awarded close to 1 million dollars in financial aid last year alone. Over 75% of Holy Cross College students receive financial aid, and the College awards Indiana residents a $1,000 scholarship towards tuition if they enroll and complete their FAFSA forms before March 10th.
If a student qualifies for maximum financial aid from the Federal and Indiana state grant programs, tuition at Holy Cross College could be completely covered. The same is true at most Indiana state schools. However, unlike Holy Cross, very few private schools nationwide keep their tuitions low enough to make this claim.
Holy Cross College is one of most affordable private institutions in the country. The advantages of attending a small private college is that the class sizes tend to be much smaller than public schools, students get more individual attention from their teachers, and classes are taught by professors, not graduate assistants.
To attend ‘How to Finance College’ please RSVP by Friday, February 1 before 5 PM. Please call 574-239-8400. Holy Cross College at 54515 State Road 933 N. in Notre Dame, Indiana is just off the Indiana Tollway a mile south of St. Mary’s College, west of the University of Notre Dame across the street from WNDU TV studios. Please park in the student parking lot on the east side of campus. Someone will be there to direct you to the auditorium
