On Sunday, November 6, Men and Women’s Ministry hosted a delightful and home-cooked Thanksgiving meal for over 60 Holy Cross students in the Pulte 2 Lounge. Even the President, Dr. Marco Clark, and a few C.S.C. Brothers joined in the feast! It was a time of fellowship and gathering together as a community in faith and in gratitude for the many blessings given this semester.

The evening started with an opening and heartfelt prayer from Campus Minister, Andrew Ouellette, followed by the singing of the Salve Regina with raised voices to honor the Blessed Mother.

Then the merry eating and drinking began! It was a delicious spread of food that included turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, and many sweet little pies. It is very important to note that it was all made with love from the men of Men’s Ministry! Very thoughtfully, the men made way for the women to serve themselves first. The drinks were festive enough as they included apple cider and sparkling grape juice!

The women of Women’s Ministry intentionally decorated the space with autumn foliage, mini pumpkins and gourds. Even the tables were set with linen! All these details added such cheer to the atmosphere. In addition, there were “Gobble Till You Wobble” turkey place mat coloring sheets which the college students thoroughly enjoyed and partook in.

It was a joy to look around the room and see neighbor by neighbor in such merriment!

The night ended with a fire pit outside of Pulte Hall in which students gathered to join in conversation. It was truly a night to remember and a tradition to be continued!
