Meet Jeff Rea, driving business to Michiana!

NOTRE DAME, IN (October 9, 2012) -  Mishawaka, South Bend, St. Joseph County. The economic hub of what we call "Michiana".  One man has had outstanding business success in all three locations.  Jeff Rea brings his unique business success story to Holy Cross College Tuesday October 23rd for the next Practical Lessons in $uccess seminar.

Rea, as President/CEO of the St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce, represents the economic interests of over 1,100 businesses and 85,000 plus employees.  This is a tremendously stressful job under any circumstances, especially in today's challenging business climate.  Jeff has handled the challenge with grace, courtesy, and strong business sense.

As mayor of Mishawaka for over six years, Rea knows how government and business needs to work together to achieve positive results.  That is his message on October 23rd.  The government, not-for-profit and business sectors function in three key areas: economic development, public policy and education. When these units coordinate efforts success is the outcome.

Holy Cross College business seminars present real world business perspectives and success stories in an open, friendly, academic environment.  "Practical Lessons in $uccess" augments the academic experience, yet will contain valuable insights for any business executive in today's highly competitive business environment.  Members of the Michiana community are welcome to attend the presentations.  Rea visits the Holy Cross Campus Tuesday October 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in Driscoll Auditorium on the campus. Please note: the presentation was originally scheduled for Wednesday October 24th.  A schedule conflict made the change necessary.

Holy Cross College is a Catholic, four-year, co-educational, liberal arts institution founded in 1966 by the Brothers of Holy Cross.  With a 13:1 faculty/student ratio, students find personal attention from professors who care about their success and development in mind, body, and spirit. The Four Pillars of the core curriculum include a professional internship, service to others, a global perspective experience, and a senior Capstone presentation which summarizes and synthesizes each student's learning. Located in Notre Dame, Indiana, Holy Cross College provides the best of both worlds: a close-knit, small college atmosphere with the resources and social opportunities of a large university.
