New Dean of Enrollment Management--Marie Bensman
Marie Bensman is excited to take on a new challenge as the face of admissions at Holy Cross College. With more than 20 years experience in higher education admissions leadership, she understands how to grow enrollment while maintaining the strong academic standards of the college. “I love working with young people and I am especially passionate about mission-driven Catholic higher education. It is an honor and a privilege to serve as Dean of Enrollment Management at Holy Cross College. Not only are we producing superior students, but the experiential curriculum helps students grow as individuals to discover their talents, test their principles, and find their calling in life. I am looking forward to helping students learn more about this high quality, affordable choice in Catholic colleges.”
Mrs. Bensman’s previous experience includes having served as Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at the University of Notre Dame Law School, Executive Director of Admissions at Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, and as Assistant Dean of Admissions and Records at Florida State University College of Law.
Active in community service, Marie has been a United Way representative, a Girl Scout Leader, a religious education teacher, a literacy volunteer, a school district Forum Representative, and recently directed the Spring Musical Annie, Jr. at the Discovery Middle School in Granger in which her daughter, Maclaine, played the role of Tessie.
Marie is married to Edward Bensman, Director of Computing for the Colleges of Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. Marie and Ed have two daughters, Julia is a sophomore at Purdue University and Maclaine is a 7th grader at Discovery Middle School.
