Practical Lessons in Success is a Holy Cross College business seminar series where successful business entrepreneurs share their secrets to students, faculty, and the local community. The program provides a real world business prospective that amplifies the academic experience, yet contain valuable insights for any business executive in today’s highly competitive business environment.
During the Fall 2016 semester, the fifth annual Practical Lessons in Success speaker series will feature three highly accomplished speakers from a range of career fields.
September 21, David Parrish, Emmy Award-winning producer of CBS 2 in Chicago will speak about the changes in news media during his career and how to prepare for a career in journalism.
October 26, Maritza Robles, vice president of the South Bend Community School Corporation School Board of Trustees will discuss transitions in education, and the importance of valuing a lifetime of learning.
November 16, Dr. Tom McGovern, a Holy Cross College trustee and successful medical doctor will share his insight into management in various career fields and working with different personalities successfully.
When discussing the program, Holy Cross College President Brother John Paige noted, “It is heartening to see the wealth of professional drive and experience this series brings to the Michiana community. All three speakers bring a unique set of values and knowledge that they happily share with students and our community.”
All programs are Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in Driscoll Auditorium on the Holy Cross College campus. Seminars are free, open to the public, and are followed by a reception on campus.
