Involuntary Withdrawal
A student in Education program may be dismissed from the program due to any of the following:
- GPA below minimum requirements of the college. (see student handbook)
- Instances of illegal or immoral behavior that cannot be tolerated in a teacher; or
- Violation of student handbook code of behavior for Holy Cross College.
A student dismissed from the program may appeal in writing. The appeal is submitted to the Chair of the Department of Education. The appeal is reviewed by the Teacher Education Committee and/or HCC Administration (for student handbook code of behavior violation) The determination made by the committee is final.
