Director of Campus Security Wins Award
Gregory Runnels, director of campus security at Holy Cross College, has been deemed “Supervisor of the Year” for the East Central Region by Securitas Security Services, USA, Inc., the company that handles the security at Holy Cross College.
Gregory Runnels has been working at Holy Cross College for about four years, ever since he retired from the United States Air Force. Since he began, he has been named supervisor of the month multiple times. But now he has taken home the big prize, the “Supervisor of the Year” award!
Runnels says he is pretty surprised to have received the recognition. In his usual humble way, he shifts the praise to the Holy Cross College community. “The credit goes to you guys. You make it so easy to work here,” he says.
The letter that came with the award says it is for “offering outstanding service to all our clients both externally and internally” and it “truly sets [him] apart as the ‘best of the best.’”
Of course, most folks at Holy Cross didn’t need to be told that! The College community is used to Runnels’ kind words, sincere smile and the safe environment he promotes and maintains.
