Senior Keysha Streater Becomes All Time Scoring Leader

NOTRE DAME, Ind. (February 8, 2019)-Keysha Streater, a senior on the Holy Cross College women’s basketball team, has become the team’s all-time scoring leader. Streater broke the record during the Saints’ game against the Robert Morris University Colonials, in which she scored 17 points. Her record has surpassed that set by alumna Lindsey Steffen, ’14. Streater’s career points total is now 1,716. She has a 14.7 point average per game.

“I am very excited and honored to have accomplished something like this,” said Streater. “Achieving this is something I never imagined possible, but I could not have done it without my coaches and teammates pushing me and believing in me along the way.”

Streater, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma is a two-year captain for the women’s basketball team. In her sophomore year, she was named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s Honorable Mention All-Conference Team, as was the case this past season.

Streater also ranks first in the Holy Cross College women’s basketball career record book with field goals made (697), field goal percentage (58.4%), and games started (110).

Aimee Litka, head coach of the College women’s basketball team said, “I am so proud of Keysha for this accomplishment. When she arrived four years ago from Oklahoma, I knew she had the potential to do great things. This is one of the many great things she has accomplished as a student athlete here at Holy Cross, but being able to leave a mark like this on our program is something special.”
