Lilly Center for Discernment and Preparation
The Lilly Center for Discernment and Preparation was established on March 1, 2004 through a grant from the Lilly Foundation and was the next logical step as the college expanded to offer a Baccalaureate Degree in Liberal Arts.
The focus of the Center is to provide students with career counseling, assessment, job shadowing and internship opportunities. However, the main focus of the Lilly grant is to try and reduce the number of our talented graduates who leave Indiana for employment in other states, commonly referred to as the "Brain Drain." Indiana and its companies have much to offer our young people, and the Lilly Center for Discernment and Preparation will make them aware of employment opportunities in our state.
While we work mainly with the Baccalaureate students, we also interact with first and second year students, as well as alumni, as resources permit.
