Easter Celebration for Youth at Holy Cross College

Easter Celebration for Youth at Holy Cross College

The College’s Social Concerns Committee tackles another service project! This one unites kids young and old to enjoy the Easter season together.

It’s time for the second annual Easter Egg-stravaganza! This means folks at Holy Cross College will be taking a break for the Easter holiday to paint faces, balance eggs and race in potato sacks. And it’s all for kids’ sake!
On Saturday, March 31, 2007 the Social Concerns Committee will be hosting an Easter celebration at Holy Cross College for children ages three to eight. Several area elementary schools have been invited, but all are welcome to join in on the festivities.
At 1:00 p.m. the egg races, cake walks, face painting and potato sack races begin. Then around 2:30 the children will be divided into three age groups for an Easter egg hunt! And the Easter Bunny certainly would not miss an event like this.

Social Concerns Committee Mission Statement:
The Social Concerns Committee provides a structured opportunity for students of Holy Cross College to answer the call to serve. Through organized service opportunities both within the College community and in the greater off-campus community, the Social Concerns Committee enhances the Holy Cross College mission by “advancing the Gospel and forming compassionate hearts.”

“For I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.” Matthew 25:35-36
