Holy Cross College Welcomes New Director of Financial Aid
Robert Benjamin says he enjoys the job because he is able to help others.
From Malaysia to India to Berrien Springs to Holy Cross College, it’s been a life around the world for Robert Benjamin. It was during his college years in India that Benjamin started crunching numbers, and he has since had a long and successful career in accounting, business and finance.
Now Holy Cross College will benefit from his knowledge of the globe, his analytical mind and his kind spirit. Robert Benjamin is Holy Cross College’s new Director of Financial Aid, a position he says he’s excited to undertake.
“It’s very rewarding to send out the award letters knowing that I have prepared each one with the best of knowledge, accuracy and care, as though I am preparing each for myself, because I strongly believe that everyone deserves an affordable education. This makes me happy, plus hopefully it makes them happy,” Benjamin says.
And Holy Cross College leaders are also happy, to have Benjamin on board.
“We are very pleased that Robert has decided to join the staff here at Holy Cross College. Robert believes strongly in our mission and looks forward to assisting students in making the cost of a Holy Cross education understandable and affordable,” says Mark Mullaney, Vice President for Administration.
Robert Benjamin has a B.A. in Economics and Management and a Master of Divinity. He was an accountant for seven years, ran a business for five years and worked in financial aid at Andrews University for seven years.
He is married and has one daughter.
