Holy Cross College Enrollment Increases

Holy Cross College Enrollment Increases

There are a lot more smiling student faces on the Holy Cross College campus this year. Enrollment has gone up about 25%.

For many schools, nearly 100 more students walking around might not make much of a difference, but for a campus like Holy Cross College’s, that creates quite a shocking statistic! Of course, with about 430 total students, the College still keeps quite an intimate setting.

Director of Admissions Vincent Duke also reports that this year brings a record 16% increase in applications and nearly 33% more new students. The four-year program has also seen an increase, as 16% more students will continue their education at Holy Cross College for their junior and senior years.

“The increase in new students this year is the largest one-year increase in new student enrollment in our history,” says Duke.

Although he cites several reasons for the boost, Duke attributes much of this year’s enrollment success to increases in institutional scholarships and financial aid, intense public relations and recruitment efforts and a growing number of students who are staying on to earn their bachelor’s degree at Holy Cross College.

“I think our success this year is clear evidence that word is quickly spreading that Holy Cross is one of the best, most affordable four-year private colleges in Indiana.”

Holy Cross College students come from 31 states and seven countries.

Along with an increase in students, the College is also celebrating 40 years of educating hearts and minds, as well as a brand new athletic program.
