Student Counseling Services
College life puts a number of demands on students than can become quite stressful; academic difficulties, relationships, depression, anxiety, substance abuse and other issues can be overwhelming. Health Services has licensed, clinical social workers, which are available to assist students in addressing any problems in a confidential manner. With experience as a disability services coordinator they can aid students in obtaining accommodations or arrange for testing.
Health Services also advise Cross and Anchors, a peer education group, and Flipside, a group that provides activities that do not involve alcohol. Community involvement and work is taught with the Committee for Social Concerns for students to provide community service. Staff have also been known to lend a helping hand with various carpentry projects on campus such as constructing a gazebo and establishing the health and wellness clinic.

Student Health and Wellness Clinic
While off-campus health services are provided through a partnership between Associates in Family Medicine at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and the College, the Holy Cross Director of Health Services, Br. Fred Raehsler, C.S.C., is available for on-campus health services during designated hours. He will assess, diagnose, treat and evaluate students and refer to Associates in Family Medicine if more medical attention is needed. There is no fee for Holy Cross students and everything is strictly confidential.
Health Form
The health form must be completed by all students. Those students who do not have a completed health form on file in the Student Health and Wellness Office will have an administrative hold placed on their academic records and face disciplinary sanctions.
Health Insurance
Adequate health insurance is required. Students needing health insurance may consider Sentry Insurance which provides insurance plans specifically for students. See the link below for more information.
