Theatre and dance allow performers to explore the experiences of humans and the universe. Students of these arts study human ideas, values, relationships, obsessions, and accomplishments, and then reflect those values back to their audiences. Studying theatre and dance can teach performance and presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, leadership skills and creative, collaborative problem-solving skills.

Through a collaboration with Saint Mary’s College, Holy Cross College students have the opportunity to further their interest in theatre performance, theatre production or dance. This will give them the basis for a theatre or dance major at another school, and a strong foundation for graduate school or a career in the arts, or another job field such as business, education, government, performance or publishing.
