Always Wanted to Play the Guitar?
Here is your chance. Learn the fundamentals of the six-string acoustic fretboard, basic chording, strumming, and picking techniques. The focus will be on songs with single and two string melodies and maintaining rhythm. Class is intended for beginners to intermediate students. You must bring an acoustic guitar to class.

Latin Dance
The basic of all of the Latin dances is the Merengue. It illustrates the basic movements of all the Latin dances. After the Merengue, we will learn the Rumba, a romantic slow dance and the Cha-Cha, the most fun dance of all. All of these dances gives a dancer a general variety of Latin dances to take to any dance floor.

The Best Wine Grapes and the Wine Made from Them
In a series of four tastings four to six grapes will be explored from very inexpensive to much more expensive wines. These grapes will include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon with a few other surprises. The range of flavor and quality available today is just enormous as we will see during the class. Excellent cheese and homemade sourdough bread will be served with each tasting. Developing and Organizing Art Ideas with Drawing and Watercolors
This watercolor class covers the basic techniques in addition to drawing and composition. Each week a different technique is taught. You may choose your subject area from landscape, still-life, impressionistic, abstract, or realistic. Participants purchase their own supplies and a list will be provided at the first class. Individual help is given depending on level of experience.

Writing Down My Life Stories
We will find ways to record our own rites of passage, our important, unforgettable experiences - the details of which sometimes only we know. Those stories that shaped us from childhood to the present. We will discuss our ideas as well as how to best incorporate them in a journal, diary, or formatted book of memoirs for your family to pass down to future generations.

Beginning and Continued Calligraphy
Learn the art of making beautiful letters. Students will be introduced to the highly legible and functional foundational letterform. Advanced students will study foundational variations. The course is designed to move students through the lettering process by learning the basics. Focus of the course will be correct form. Practice time in class will allow students to receive help on an individual basis. The course will finish with a completed project of a favorite quote in the form of a book.
