Holy Cross College Hosts Youth Conference
Part retreat, part spiritual pep rally, the 2nd annual Holy Cross College Catholic Youth Summer Conference will be held on campus June 23 — 25, 2006.
High school students who want to grow closer to Christ will be given that opportunity this summer at Holy Cross College. The three-day event provides Catholic students a positive and dynamic experience of God’s love and a special opportunity for Christian fellowship.
One student who attended last year’s conference, Pheape Matti, says, “I loved each of the speakers. They were great, and adoration was so powerful and spiritual. The new people I met were amazing and so nice.”
This year, the College welcomes Mark Hart, the “Bible Geek” from LIFE TEEN as keynote speaker. LIFE TEEN is a Catholic youth group that began in Arizona but has spread around the world. Each Sunday about 120,000 teenagers attend a LIFE TEEN mass.
The “Pete Cornelius Band” is also scheduled to play, and Holy Cross College faculty, staff and students will be leading sessions and participating in the conference.
Parents are also welcome to attend.
