Holy Cross College Donates Computers to Concord Neighborhood Center

Holy Cross College recently donated six used computers to Concord Neighborhood Center, which has been serving families in Indianapolis since 1875! CNC’s executive director, Niki Lynn Girls, wrote this in a letter to Br. Chris Dreyer and Holy Cross College:

“The six computers found wonderful homes. Three of the computers will be staying at Concord, and we will be using them this summer for day camp. Another one of the computers stayed at Concord to be used by Nicole, who works with the kindergarten and school-age children. Nicole truly needed her own computer, but we could not afford it at this time. The remaining two computers went to two different families. One of the families has two daughters with the eleven-year old wanting to learn, so now Mom and Dad can help her at home. The other family is a single parent with a ten-year old son, who is autistic. Needless to say he is challenged with his learning and struggles in more structured social activities. One of his favorite sources for learning and socializing is being on the computer.

The center and both families were elated to have computers and are most grateful. Thank you for thinking of Concord.”
