Holy Cross College Development Team Grows
Daniel Hubert, Ph.D., has joined the office as director of development operations and research.
Dan Hubert has years of higher education teaching experience, but he is now looking to make an impact in higher education as a non-teaching staff member. Hubert has been both a high school teacher and faculty member at two universities, most recently at Utah State University in the field of teacher education. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Hubert also has experience in business ownership, sales, marketing and even semi-professional athletics.
After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis, Hubert played for semi-professional baseball clubs in Canada and South Australia before an injury ended his playing career. Much of what he learned in the value of self-confidence and teamwork came from his athletics experiences. Prior to joining Holy Cross College, Hubert was employed at Press Ganey Associates, Inc., coordinating physician and employee satisfaction survey projects with clients nationwide.
Hubert says he is grateful for the opportunity to work at Holy Cross College because he has a great love for both the mission of academics and that of the Congregation of Holy Cross.
Hubert says, “It is a real blessing to be involved with such a wonderful, mission-based college.”
He is also looking forward to working in the challenging field of development. “Our job is to enlighten the minds of our parents, alumni and friends on the benefits of supporting Holy Cross College,” he says.
Vice President for Advancement Pat Falvey says she feels strongly that Hubert will be a great addition to her team.
“Having Hubert as part of the Advancement Team is a true blessing. His unique background will enhance our donor research capabilities, and his commitment to and experience in higher education make him a perfect development officer. We’re fortunate he is here!” she says.
Hubert earned his doctorate from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He is married with two children and is a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Granger, Indiana.
