Christian Lemus

Hailing from South Bend, Indiana, Christian Lemus ’21 earned a bachelor’s in biology with a minor in Theology from Holy Cross. He chose biology because it’s a discipline where he thrived. In the future, he would love the opportunity to pursue biochemical research – especially in pharmaceuticals.

Why Holy Cross College

“I came across Holy Cross in the middle of a tough choice between Notre Dame and the University of Chicago, but after the visit at Holy Cross, I fell in love with the close-knit community and the 1:1 relationship that Holy Cross has,” said Lemus.

Biology program benefits

“Even though it is a relatively new program to the College, it does not mean that it is easy, and that is what I loved about it. Many of the courses that this program had were new, and many of them possessed great difficulty. It was because of this difficulty that I was able to grow both academically and intellectually. I give my thanks and gratitude to Dr. Robichaud,” notes Lemus.

Life after college

“I am currently using my biology degree for a contract with the dairy farmers of America as a laboratory technician,” said Lemus. “Holy Cross majorly prepared me on how to properly and thoroughly work in a lab setting and gave me the experience to utilize my laboratory skills in the field.”
