Admitted Student Days are specially designed visit days just for admitted students and their families. During your visit, you’ll meet future classmates, future professors, and learn all about the Holy Cross experience from those who know it best—our current students. Overnight stays in our residence halls are available upon request and require a completed waiver and health form.
Admitted Student Days begin on Sunday afternoon and end on Monday with an optional lunch at 12:00 p.m. ET. You have the option of indicating if you will participate in just Sunday’s or Sunday’s-Monday’s events. Overnight stays in our residence halls are available if the request is made at least five days before your arrival.

Personalized Campus Visit for Admitted Students Can’t attend an Admitted Student Days? No problem! We can help you plan a personalized campus visit on a day that works with your schedule. Your visit will include a one-on-one meeting with an admissions counselor, a campus tour, and a complimentary meal in Siegfried Dining Hall. You can also observe a class, meet with a professor, and visit the Office of Financial Aid and Student Accounts to discuss your financial assistance and payment plan options. At Holy Cross College, we take pride in building a vibrant academic, faith, and social community. To that end, we require all first year and sophomore students to live on campus in our single-sex residence halls. We offer an array of housing options for students, from single rooms to shared apartments. Living on campus provides an amazing opportunity to form close-knit friendships that will last a lifetime.
To secure your room on campus, you must complete the 2020-2021 online housing application. The application gives you the option of requesting a specific roommate and/or ranking your preferred residence hall placement. Those who indicate roommate requests and/or hall preferences and meet the May 1, 2020 confirmation deadline, which requires paying a housing deposit, will be entered in a housing lottery. Housing requests will be honored based on lottery results and availability of preferred rooms. Those who submit the housing deposit after May 1 will have requests honored as space allows and after the housing lottery placement is complete.
The housing application is due on or before July 1, 2020. The July 1 deadline allows you to meet other incoming students and tour the residence halls during SOAR in June. Many students make new friends and find their future roommates during SOAR. For those who do not request a specific roommate, assignments will be made using compatibility questions on the housing application. Some students may qualify for an exemption and be released from the two-year, on-campus living requirement. For example, those students who will live at home with parents or guardians and commute daily to campus are encouraged, but not required, to live on campus. Contact us to discuss if you qualify for an exemption.
The 2020-2021 online housing application opens in the spring and will be available on your Holy Cross Applicant Portal after you have completed the online confirmation form.
Apply for Need-Based Financial Aid
All admitted students are encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for federal, state, and/or Holy Cross need-based assistance. After your FAFSA has been received and reviewed, a Holy Cross financial aid award will be mailed to your home and sent via email.
Confirm Your Enrollment
To accept our offer of admission and confirm your intention of enrolling at Holy Cross College, submit the online confirmation form on or before May 1, 2020, which is the priority confirmation deadline. Holy Cross College will accept your enrollment confirmation after May 1 as space allows. The form can be found in your Holy Cross Applicant Portal. If you have forgotten how to access your Applicant Portal, contact us, and we will email or text you a link.
After completing the online confirmation form, you will be prompted to pay your confirmation deposit, which consist of two components:
- A $200 enrollment deposit that serves as a confirmation of your intent to enroll at Holy Cross and ensures that we hold a place for you in our incoming class.
- A $200 housing deposit that serves as a confirmation of your intent to live on campus and ensures we reserve a room for you in a residence hall. Those who submit the housing deposit on or before May 1 are eligible to be entered in the housing lottery for preferred roommate and hall placement. If a housing exemption to live off campus has been approved, the housing deposit is not required.
Deposits are non-refundable after May 1.
All new students are required to attend a Saints Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR) day at Holy Cross College. During SOAR you will register for classes with an academic advisor, learn about campus resources, and meet other new students. Your enrollment deposit must be submitted before registering for SOAR.
New students must attend one of the following orientation days. Space for each day is limited, so early registration is recommended. Parents/guardians are encouraged to attend!
