Dr. Louis Albarran studies Catholicism in America – especially the immigrant experience and the religious devotions they practice(d). He was trained in a Ph.D. program called “The U.S. Catholic Experience” at the University of Dayton (where he also received his M.A. in Theology). He pays special attention to the ways postwar America (with the rise of the suburbs) impacted Catholicism in America (which mostly started in an urban experience).
He has been fortunate to deliver papers at various conferences and have his work published in books and in journals. He is from the suburbs of Chicago, IL. He is married with four kids. He has also been fortunate enough to enjoy some paid musical gigs as well as payment for his printmaking art.
