Dr. Stephen F. Takach is an assistant professor of mathematics and data science at Holy Cross
College, Notre Dame, IN. He obtained his Ph.D. in elementary particle physics from Yale
University for experimental work on the hadroproduction of charmed mesons. He was a post-doctoral associate at Cambridge University, during which he worked at CERN to measure CP-violation in the kaon system.
Prior to his recent appointment at Holy Cross College, he worked
as a senior scientist providing project services to the natural gas industry, as a consultant in data
science, and as a staff data scientist at Ford Motor Co..
