Academics

Holy Cross College provides liberal arts education guided by the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, Catholic Social Tradition, and the Charism of the Congregation of Holy Cross. Students learn from and research alongside faculty who accompany and guide them on their journey.

While your experience will vary depending on your major and any other programs of study, all Holy Cross College students share common academic experiences:

  • Small class sizes (the average in Spring 2025 was 15)
  • Close relationships with faculty
  • Education in a distinctive, integrative College Curriculum
  • Formation as an attentive scholar, transformative leader, courageous citizen, and hopeful disciple equipped to use knowledge in service of the common good

We offer 15 majors, 21 minors, and 27 tracks. Holy Cross students also have opportunities to earn Pathway designation from the Provost for preferred admission to graduate and professional school programs.
