Dr. Cosette Fox is the Dean of Faculty and Chair of the Department of Social Sciences at Holy Cross College at Notre Dame, Indiana. As a Professor of Psychology, her current area of research is in the cross-cultural investigation of the effect of single-session interventions on mental health in adolescents and college students.
Dean Fox has led students on mid-semester break trips to Lebanon and Poland. On those trips, she and her students worked side-by-side to conduct research into growth mindset interventions on child refugees to mitigate the pain of war-induced trauma. This research has led to multiple publications in academic journals on which Dr. Fox and her students are listed as co-authors.
Before Dr. Fox came to Holy Cross she completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, investigating the protective effect of environmental enrichment on brain trauma.
