Professor Storer is an urban agriculture, integral ecology and permaculture design specialist who has worked in all levels of education for more than 20 years. As an engineer, her projects focused on environmental and hydrological concerns in rural America and Benin, West Africa and focused on community education on land use for groundwater protection. She lived and worked on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation for four years, where she worked on regenerative projects, such as reintroduction of buffalo herds, strawbale builds, and food production.
Her current teaching focuses on integral ecology, food security, and regenerative agriculture. She participates in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend Laudato Si Action Platform Committee, as well as the Diocesan Buildings and Grounds Committee as the Laudato Si representative. She has also worked in land development, environmental land management, native species restoration, and invasive species removal.
In 2025, she participated in Laudato Si at 10 years: Africa Conference and Sowing Hope Ecological Pilgrimage, Bethany Land Institute, Uganda.
Since 2012, she designed and maintains a polyculture urban homestead using regenerative growing methods for her family of 8, producing ~2,000lbs of food annually through the cultivation and care of gardens, orchards, and small livestock. Additionally, she is a Guide at all three levels of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and has taught in this program over ten years at multiple schools. In this methodology, she currently teaches second graders at St. Thomas More Academy in South Bend, IN. She is the Board Treasurer for the Catholic Worker Apostolate Our Lady of the Road, Inc.
