Student Sarah Davis ’25 is pursuing a degree in business with a minor in marketing and her recent internship is bringing green noses to campus.

“The LOGAN Nose-On is an event during the month of March that raises money and awareness in support of serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We sell a number of different types of merchandise, but the Nose-On is most recognizable by the green noses,” said Davis.

This internship opportunity came through networking with a former University of Norte Dame rugby teammate, Molly Heath, who is now the Marketing and Events Manager at LOGAN Community Resources.

“I started the internship in late January in the office by making phone calls to businesses and reaching out to past LOGAN supporters to sell noses for them to distribute at their locations. Since mid-February, I have been at LOGAN Industries where I have packaged orders and made deliveries to the businesses,” notes Davis. “This opportunity has been rewarding in several ways, as I’ve been able to reach out and form relationships with local businesses as well as learn more about the world of marketing.”

Through her classroom work and campus activities, Davis has been well coached for this internship.

“Holy Cross College prepared me for this opportunity through the advice from professors and the classes I’ve taken, and through the school Phonathon. Specifically, I was more comfortable speaking on the phone going in, after working the Phonathon for two years, and I better understood how to go about my tasks knowing the importance of being time efficient with the process of packaging and delivering merchandise,” said Davis. “I’m grateful for the guidance and help from Adam DeBeck and the career office, as well as his efforts to make this opportunity more than just an internship for me.”
