Holy Cross College offers merit awards to admitted students who demonstrate exceptional accomplishment, leadership, commitment to service, and intellectual promise. Annual awards range from $11,000 to $22,000. There is no separate scholarship application.

- All first-year and transfer applicants are automatically considered for merit awards.
- The primary factor used to determine an applicant’s merit award is their GPA.
- First-years students are evaluated using their high school GPA.
- Transfer students are evaluated using their college GPA.
- Admitted students who receive a merit award will be notified of the award and amount through their admitted student portal. Not all admitted students will receive a merit award.
- Merit awards are renewable for up to 8 consecutive semesters of full-time enrollment, provided the student maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Students who submit the FAFSA may receive additional need-based aid in addition to their merit awards.
