The Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) major at Holy Cross College equips students to explore the moral, political, and economic dimensions of life—preparing you to ask the right questions and confidently respond to the most important challenges of our time.

At its heart, PPE trains you to think critically, reason

As a PPE major, you’ll have opportunities to grow intellectually and personally while preparing for meaningful work in diverse fields. You might:

• Engage with classic and contemporary texts that shape how we understand human nature, social life, and economic systems.
• Analyze public policies, economic data, and philosophical arguments with rigor and clarity.
• Learn from dedicated faculty in classes designed to foster discussion, critical thinking, and moral reflection.
• Participate in internships, research projects, or community engagement that connects classroom learning to real-world questions.
• Prepare for graduate study or careers in law, public service, business, education, and nonprofit leadership
