Holy Cross College has earned three Best of CASE District V Awards, recognizing excellence in video storytelling across student engagement, fundraising, and educational storytelling.
Presented by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the awards recognize outstanding work in educational advancement. District V includes colleges and universities throughout the Midwest, with honorees such as the University of Notre Dame, University of Michigan, Iowa University, Northwestern University, Purdue University, Xavier University, the University of Dayton, and the University of Cincinnati among others.
Holy Cross received top honors for three video productions, each capturing a different dimension of the College’s mission and community. The videos were a result of a collaboration between Adam DeBeck, Associate Vice President for College Relations, and Blaske Studio in South Bend.
Tears, Cheers & Memories: Graduation 2025 earned a Best of CASE award in the Student Audience (Short) category. The video celebrates the Class of 2025 through the unforgettable moments of commencement, from proud walks across the stage to embraces, laughter, and happy tears that reflect the close-knit Holy Cross community.
Courage to Act: Story of River and Renewal was recognized in the News & Research category. Part of the College’s Courage to Act Series, the video follows Dr. Kate Barrett and her aquatic ecology students as they explore the Saint Joseph River, conducting hands-on research into water quality and environmental stewardship. Their work demonstrates how a Holy Cross education connects classroom learning with meaningful action in the community.
The Courage to Act: A Campaign for Holy Cross College received a Best of CASE award in the Fundraising and Stewardship (Long) category. The production communicates the College’s mission and vision for the future, inviting supporters to help shape the next chapter of Holy Cross.
Together, the three awards highlight the power of storytelling to celebrate student achievement, showcase experiential learning, and advance the College’s mission. The recognition places Holy Cross alongside some of the Midwest’s most prominent universities, demonstrating that compelling, mission-driven storytelling can make an impact far beyond the size of a campus.
