Dr. Theresa MacArt received her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, where she focused on the ethics of citizenship in St. Thomas Aquinas. Prior to her arrival at Holy Cross College, she served as the Thomas W. Smith Postdoctoral Research Associate in the James Madison Program at Princeton University, and as Assistant Professor in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University.
In the Fall of 2025, Dr. MacArt became the acting Academic Director of the Politics and Public Service Program. In addition to advising Politics and Public Service majors and fulfilling her teaching duties, Dr. MacArt organizes the annual Constitution Day lecture.
