Holy Cross College will celebrate its 58th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 17, honoring the achievements of the graduating class and marking their transition into the global network of Holy Cross alumni.

The Commencement Ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. in McKenna Arena, located within the Pfeil Recreation Center on the College’s campus.

This annual celebration brings together families, friends, faculty, staff, and community members to recognize the academic accomplishments and personal growth of the College’s newest graduates.

Honoring Our Graduates

Holy Cross College’s Class of 2025 includes a diverse group of graduates who have contributed meaningfully to the life of the campus and community. This year’s seniors include first-generation college students, athletes, artists, researchers, peer mentors, and servant-leaders—each living out the College’s mission of educating the mind and forming the heart.

From academic distinction to service immersion, and from student government to spiritual life, the Class of 2025 represents the best of Holy Cross College.

A Weekend of Celebration and Reflection

The weekend’s activities begin with the Baccalaureate Mass, a liturgical celebration giving thanks for the blessings of the graduating class. It will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, in St. Joseph Chapel on campus. All graduates and their families are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Commencement Speaker: Br. Paul Bednarczyk, C.S.C.

Holy Cross College is honored to welcome Brother Paul Bednarczyk, C.S.C., as the 2025 Commencement speaker. Brother Paul currently serves as the 14th Superior General of the Congregation of Holy Cross, and is the first religious brother to hold this role in the Congregation’s history.

Honorary Degrees

These honorees exemplify lives of faithful service, leadership, and dedication to the common good — reflecting Holy Cross College’s mission to form scholars, citizens, leaders, and disciples.

Honorary degrees will be awarded to:

  • Daniel Florin – Granger, Indiana
  • Jacqueline Kronk – South Bend, Indiana
  • Brother Paul Bednarczyk, C.S.C. – Rome, Italy
