While many campuses wind down during the summer months, Holy Cross College surged forward—welcoming youth, scholars, and leaders from around the world. From soccer fields to theology classrooms, the activity on campus showed why Holy Cross is a vital hub for South Bend, the tri-campus community, and the Catholic Church.

Throughout June and July, the College hosted athletic camps, academic programs, and spiritual formation experiences. Families from across the region brought their children for basketball, soccer, and computer coding camps. Visiting high school teams trained on campus, while student-athletes from our own programs returned early for summer workouts.

One of the summer’s cornerstones was the Saints & Scholars Summer Theology Institute, a signature program of the tri-campus community that brought high school students together to explore the intersection of faith, reason, and service. The program drew participants from across the country, forming the next generation of Catholic leaders.

Holy Cross also welcomed international guests—students from Taiwan lived on campus while studying in a business course with Holy Cross peers. The New Wine, New Wineskins Symposium was an exciting gathering for early-career Catholic moral theologians who desire to share their work, build community, and serve the Church.

Education and immersion continued through programs like the American Indian Catholic Schools Network fellowship and servant leadership workshops for students from Brazil and across the U.S., supported by College faculty and the Office of Admissions.

From formation to recreation, global scholarship to local connection, Holy Cross College was alive with purpose—demonstrating its role as a trusted partner in Catholic education, a valuable resource to the South Bend-Elkhart region, and a place where faith, intellect, and community flourish year-round.
