The inauguration of Dr. Marco J. Clark, Ed.D., the sixth president of Holy Cross College, is March 25, 2023. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the College is holding a Day of Service on Thursday, March 23, an Academic Symposium Friday, March 24, and the installation of Dr. Clark Saturday, March 25. Below is a detailed list of opportunities happening on campus to commemorate this momentous time in Holy Cross College history.

THURSDAY, MARCH 23

Day of Service – Holy Cross College will give back to the local community and participate in collaboration projects with our non-profit partners.

We will enjoy several opportunities to give back to the community on campus and all are invited to participate.

The procession will step off promptly at 1:55 p.m. from the Max, to the Pfeil Center.

The investiture ceremony will be held in the Pfeil Center on the campus of Holy Cross College.

PARKING
Delegates and guests may park in the commuter lot located on the east side of campus or the Pfeil Recreation Center lot located to the east of the rec center. Shuttle service will be available.

COMMENCEMENT LUNCHEON
Join Dr. Clark and Holy Cross Community members for lunch prior to the inaugural ceremony. Lunch will be served under the Pfeil Center inauguration event tent at 11:30 a.m.

LINE-UP
Please report to the Vincent Student Lounge (the Max) by 1:15 p.m. for robing and line-up. Please do not bring any valuables, such as purses, as the lounge is open and will NOT BE LOCKED. Your guest(s) is/are invited to be seated in the Pfeil Center at this time. College Marshals will assist delegates with robing and lining up in pairs. The procession to the Pfeil Center will begin promptly at 1:55 p.m.

SEATING
At 1:55 p.m. flag bearers will begin the procession, followed by the Chief Marshal, various greeters, and the DELEGATES (walking two by two). The Board of Trustees, faculty, and the platform party will follow. Delegates will enter the gym and process up the aisle, toward the stage. A marshal will then direct delegates to their appropriate rows – delegates on the left will be seated in a row on the left, while delegates on the right side of procession will be seated in a row on the right. Please fill in each empty seat, unless there is a RESERVED sign present. Please remain standing until instructed.

POST COMMENCEMENT
Immediately following the ceremony, please join Dr. Marco Clark and inauguration guests for a reception under the tent, honoring the new President.
