Noelia Carbajal:

I am a Princeton alumna from the Class of 2022. Because I majored in Classics, I love translating Latin inscriptions, reading ancient philosophy, and learning about archaeological discoveries. Shortly after graduating, I married my now-husband and moved to South Bend, where he is a PhD student in theology at Notre Dame. I am originally from the Bronx, New York, but my parents were born in Honduras, so I grew up hablando Español. Jane Austen is my favorite author, and running is my favorite sport.

Territory: Private Schools in St. Joseph County (Indiana), Allen County (Indiana), Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Favorite South Bend Activity?

Since moving here, I’ve greatly enjoyed exploring different coffee shops in the area with friends. The vibes at Sway Coffee are my favorite by far, but I always order tea because I don’t actually like the taste of coffee!

Favorite Sweet Treat?

A cinnamon roll, honey bun, or glazed donut with a cup of milk.

If you could only listen to one song?

Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli. My husband and I played this song for our first dance at our wedding, which we choreographed. We had so much fun putting on a show.

What is your favorite place to find peace in the Tri-Campus Community?

The Saint Joseph Chapel. There’s nothing more peaceful than being in the Real Presence of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, who resides in the Tabernacle, patiently waiting every day for us to spare just a little bit of our time to keep him company.
