Saints & Scholars: One week that will change the way you see the world

The Saints & Scholars Summer Theology Institute is a one-week, pre-college program that provides 80 high school students each year the opportunity to:

  • Live on a college campus—and benefit from the peer mentorship of select Holy Cross College students
  • Participate in lively seminar discussions that are rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition and guided by faculty from Holy Cross College and the University of Notre Dame
  • Serve community organizations related to your area of interest
  • Share community-building experiences with students from around the country

Choose your own spiritual adventure

Saints & Scholars participants choose one of six distinctive tracks that enable you to investigate how faith intersects with a wide range of subjects, including:

  • Public Health
  • Human Rights
  • Media
  • Sport
  • Ecology
  • Business

Regardless of which track you choose, you will explore the Institute’s fundamental question: What kind of saint is God calling me to be?

$400 is a small price to pay for serious spiritual growth

Your $400 program fee covers:

  • Classroom materials
  • Accommodations in a campus residence hall for four nights
  • Meals

Those who attend a Congregation of Holy Cross school or parish or those whose parish is in the Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend may attend for $300. Financial assistance may also be available upon inquiry.

Saints & Scholars + Notre Dame Vision

Holy Cross College and the University of Notre Dame have partnered to offer you the opportunity to participate in Saints & Scholars and Notre Dame Vision for a two-week program experience. The registration form allows you to register for both programs using one application.

There is an additional fee of $425 to add Notre Dame Vision to your package. Housing, supervision, and activities are provided over the weekend between each week of programming.
