Timothy Brown

Timothy Brown is a Junior studying Psychology at Holy Cross College from Dallas, Texas.

Why Holy Cross College

In making his college decision, Timothy Brown notes being drawn to the campus culture, “Once I heard about the small but loving community of Holy Cross, I was hooked!”. Brown, being a Texas native, also mentioned he was interested in attending college out-of-state particularly somewhere with snow for a change!

Campus involvement

Timothy is a Junior senator for Holy Cross Student Government Association (SGA), a board member of the Psych Club, and the president of the Black Student Association.

“I got involved in BSA because I think it is important to stay connected with the people of my community, and also spread knowledge of my community to the rest of the college. I got involved with SGA because I wanted to have a voice when it came to what happens in my community.”

Why Psychology

“Psychology is the only topic that has grasped my interest from the very beginning. I have always been fascinated with the mind, the body, and the behaviors humans have naturally.”

Future goals

As a Psych major and former athlete, Brown has goals of merging these two interests in his life. After graduation, Timothy plans on coaching and further exploring the field of Sports Psychology.

“I want to stay as close and connected to the sports world as possible.”

“Everything you say, no matter if you believe it or not, can have an impact on someone’s life. It has taught me to go into every conversation aware of my ability to affect someone in the future.”
